Alisa Javits is a Finnish visual artist and a director working with photography, installation and moving images. She has studied photography and visual culture in Aalto University and Stockholm University. The artistic process begins from the creation of an atmosphere or a narrative which mutates into a visual format: an image, a short film, an installation or perhaps something in-between. Alisa's work is based on contrasts and often deals with the contradiction between the inner and the outer in people. Dark coexists with light and colors, philosophical depth with alluring, sensual touch and realism with fiction.
